That 3rd line needs to do something, anything, positive offensively

Great oppurtunity for PC and TM to see what they have with Leon out.

Him being out a few games isn't necessarily a bad thing this early on. Same type of situation as Sekera being out. PC will be finding out early on whether or not he needs to make some additions or not.

Unfortunate news about Draisaitl, hopefully he makes a speedy recovery.

One thing is that Condon will likely start for the Sens tonight. He was pretty good last year, but not on the same level as Anderson. Hoping the sens can carry some momentum from last night into tonight.

Looking forward to watching Mcdavid tonight.

The problem I see is if Yamamoto has another game where he looks lost and makes poor decisions then Slepy is gonna be put on that top line and the third line won't even be used. TM really likes Letustu and Pak, so there is a chance that they end up with more time than the line where he has 3 unknowns.

I don't know that after three games he is going to make many decisions. Sitting Benning could spark the kid as well and remind him that there are no gurantees in the NHL. The real problem on defense is what kind of trade do you really make? Not like there are a ton of top 4 options, so i have to think our defense needs to be horrid for quite a long time before we make a decision to try acquire a top 4.

Up front it could be easier to go after a vet winger in the next few weeks. Then again I think the first thing they will do is call up JP.

Troy Boruwer is a great vet presence and could play well with McDavid. Would cost you your first but we are friends so I will make it a second.

Brouwer(50%) for Fayne

Wouldn't mind playing him with McDavid against the Flames and then bury him in the minors against the actual NHL teams

@Lahey

Acquiring Brouwer is such an awful idea that you should cleanse your mouth with bleach for suggesting it- even jokingly.

What play was it exactly during that Winnipeg game that Draisaitl was injured?

A Trouba hit that ended getting pretty significant head contact and a high stick that caught him around the eye- neither were called for penalties.

Well they've been awfully pissy since Wideman went all Grand Theft Auto on one of their boys. Very immature of them actually.

Nope, it's on the Jets for continuing to find ways to play dirty even when Dustin "the mongoloid" Byfuglien is out.

Though I do feel like Oilers games have had a distinct lack of any form of crackdown on penalties. Across the league I keep hearing about teams getting 7 or more PPs a game and Edmonton is sitting at maybe 4/game (without checking). Pretty much the same old inconsistency team-to-team and game-to-game that's plagued the league for a decade.

7-2 in the nucks game I think.

Overall, my guess would be about 6-4 against

I’m not one to put stuff on refs pretty much ever. But yeah, since u mentioned it
